1. What kind of magazine are you making a front cover for ? Avoid a general magazine like sports. Instead, choose baseball, or more specific yet, minor league baseball

3. Who is your target audience? You need to be very specific with regards to the target audience who you are targeting. Describe with regards to cultural background, how much money they have to spend, their age group

Cropping your image in PhotoShopTake your picture using the DSLR. Don't forget to turn your camera vertically. Leave some head room for the title and leave some room to the left or to the right to put in your subtitles.
Using the crop tool, crop your image in PhotoShop using the following settings

Creating Layers in IllustratorGo to the main men and select Window > Layers and a layers tab will appear.
Create the following layers in the layers tab. Please pay attention to the order of the layers. Each layer has something on it, for instance, the you need a clipping path image saved as a PhotoShop EPS for the "Clipping Path EPS" layer. |
